Danijela Ivelja-Hill, MD, FAPA, is a board certified psychiatrist, who finished medical school in her native Croatia, at the University of Zagreb, School in Split.
She completed rotating internship and later practiced as a family practice physician. She also worked at the University of Health Sciences of Split, as a coordinator and Assistant Teacher while attending Postgraduate Ph.D. studies at the University of Split.
She moved to US when she got the opportunity to work as a clinical research coordinator at NYU Pain Management Center and Seligman Center for Rheumatology.
Dr. Hill passed the USMLE exams with the highest scores, and started general psychiatry residency at NJMS, Rutgers Medical School in Newark and Northern New Jersey, finishing the program in 2012.
Her diverse clinical experience includes the positions of clinical staff psychiatrist at UBHC-Rutgers, Greystone Psychiatric State Hospital, Morristown Medical Center. She accumulated extensive knowledge and experience working in inpatient and outpatient setting, consultation liasion service, partial hospital, ER. Patient populations she treated span all age groups and mental health conditions.
She has interest in modern advances in Psychiatry, Medicine, and Psychology, esoteric studies, meditation and energy medicine. Dr. Hill is a certified Advanced Pranic Healer.
Dr. Hill is a member of American Psychiatric Association, where she is a Fellow, and American Medical Association. She has published several articles in peer reviewed journals.
